Google images - have they changed something?

Has Google changed its settings?
Everytime I try and search an image, it dumps a whole load of images there in one go, with the option to scroll down for more and if I hover the cursor over one it expands outwards irritatingly like a Mac does. Oh, and it doesn't tell you how large the image is anymore.

Thanks Bibblebub. I've just tried that and it didn't work.
The weird thing is that blog entry dates back to 2007 and the change only happened (on my setup) a few days ago.
I have noticed a function at the bottom of the screen that says "switch to basic version" (the "old way" which I find much easier to navigate). I wish there was a way of making it stay like that.
Maybe it's time I ditched Google and set Yahoo or Dogpile as my default search engine.
