Hi folks. Any help with this one. Occasionally when trying to use Firefox browser, this message appears:

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

I cannot find a way to close Firefox and have no option but restart system.

Any ideas? thank you

Go into task manager and close the Firefox process that is already running. You should then be able to start Firefox up again.
open task manager, click on the processes tab, look for firefox in the list, click once to highlight it, then click end task....

The task manager can be opened a few ways, on of them is to right click on an empty part of the task bar at the bottom of the screen and select "task Manager"
or control+alt+delete does it for me. (Opens task manager, I mean.)

Thank you both - so speedy and helpful. Thanks again
You are not supposed to notice this kind of problem with Firefox. Posting anyting about it online is the ultimate disrespect of "the best browser". Shame on you.
