Please could any of you geek boys and girls (and I say that in a good way:) identify a typeface for me, the one that spells Maru Motel on the title card of this little film:

If you need to see more examples showing more letters, look at the most recent clips on Maru's Mum's channel, where she uses the same typeface:

Thanks!

It's a good idea and I've already tried before asking here, but considering each new video of Maru gets 1,000,000 views and what seems like almost as many comments;-) I forgive his Mum for not having replied to me so far... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maru_%28cat%29

Hi John, actually I meant the "English" letters but re-reading the question I didn't make that very clear at all, did I. (But anyway the Japanese 'kana' and the "English" letters do seem to be of the same design.) Thanks for your links but I was rather hoping that somebody with eidetic memory might save me from trawling the internet =:0 !! ;-) Thanks, though:)
Close, but no cigar wildwood - it's the exact one on the title card I'm after. I suspect scotman is correct that I would need a lot of luck, but hey I'm open to luck:) Thank you very much for your suggestion, it's not far off.
Hi wolf, feel free to post Maru in Animals&Nature if you like:) Hope you and your whiskery editor and his sister (if memory serves?) are well too. How's the other Frankie, the cat that got shot?

Good afternoon Swede,
http://www.fontsearchengine.com/ any good?
I put "maru" into it and came up with these: http://www.fonts.com/...h&Classification=Maru
Although I cannot quite see any exact matches! Sorry.
I suggest a large cup of coffee and this web site... for days... http://www.1001freefonts.com/

Hi again Swedeheart
I have been doing a bit more research but have come up with nothing. The closest I could find is one called 'Plume'
I have played around some on this site which you might find useful for the future.
http://www.identifont.com/
Also, on a different matter, this site is local Edinburgh paper. The survey mentions Stockholm(in a nice way) so I thought you might be interested.

Good luck tracking the font.
