The Age UK internet champion of the year competition is advertised in my local paper, never heard of it, but there is still time for all over -55s to enter - have a look at the entry info on http://www.ageuk.org.uk/internet-champions

Apparently, over-65s using the internet has increased from 18% in 2006 to 40% in 2010 but a whole bunch of older people still need to be championed to get on-line.

Go for it!

I'm reviving this one as I posted it on Sunday when people's minds were vexed with other things - still a few days to go, if anyone over 65 wants to enter!
I started using the tinternet in 1999. I was 49. Still use it daily at 60 years old. My late father used it at 85.
