Can anyone tell me please how I can burn a ,MOV file of 1.91 GB on my desktop to a DVD using Nero 9 so that it will play on a PC or DVD player. The file is currently playable in VLC media player as Windows Media Player refuse to open it. I've done lots of things with Nero 9 but I'd like to check I'm doing it right as it's a gift for Mother's Day.

Thank you.

You could try the FREE Video to DVD 3.2 converter?

^ you could try it, but .mov files are not listed as ones that it works with...

Having downloaded it Rojash, I've now discovered I have to pay 59 US Dollars for a licence that permits me to view the file without an embedded watermark.

I don't want to do as I've only got one file to convert. Besides, surely my paid version of NNero 9 should be able to do the job?
Hi Bigbanana, I'm sorry to disagree with Rojash bit I've just converted the Sample.mov file from Quicktime into a .VOB file plus associated files and burnt it to a DVD so the Free Video to DVD program given above does work with .mov files.
(At least the version I have does)
Hope this helps.

Thank you Wak. I'm very grateful that you've taken the time and effort to try it out. I'll try it myself.

Thank you.
Hi Wak,
You're not disagreeing with me - as I said, you can try it but .mov files are not listed.
Glad it works :-)

I had the answer all along. I tried DVDflick that was already installed on my PC. It worked like a charm and even burnt the converted file to disc. The disc plays on all my DVD players without a problem.
