Why won't my UK tv receive a signal in Sweden? I accept that in the Far East and in the America's it's different, but I thought pan european TV signal broadcast was the same? Anyone?

Although many countries use the PAL broadcast standard it comes in many 'flavours'; UK & Ireland use PAL I and Sweden uses PAL B/G.  This said, a TV should have no problem decoding the picture of both these formats although sometimes the audio can be a problem. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAL

In answer, I think the problem is with your TV.
