My son't laptop has picked up a malicious proigramme in think

it is called MS removal and will not allow anything to open, i've tried system restore and it blocks it.
the laptop is a Aspire 6935 and he has windows XP, what's the best thing to do please? There is McAfee on there active but can't open it to run a scan

I don't know if it works, but I heard something on the radio the other day.

They suggested opening Task Manager (right click on bottom toolbar, and select it from menu)

Look in Applications, and stop the malicious one., then run Malwarebytes.

cheers for that guys I've sorted it out for him and he now believes me when i tell him he needs some proper mal ware security

He thinks he has McAfee too but the subscription has run out lol he's been on pins cos I've been on his laptop to sort it out! He has pictures of Pippa Middleton all over the place!
