HTC wildfire (again) music volumne

When playing my music with earphones, how can I turn the sound down a bit, in the instructions it says press volumne button up or down, there is not one on my screen so have to walk around with one earphonein and tother dangling loose!!

Is there not a small "paddle" style button on the side of your phone neti? If there is, try pressing one end of it and watching/listening for a reaction.

You need to be actually playing music when you adjust it, otherwise it will adjust the ringer volume (or the earpiece volume if you're in a call)

Oh I know all these things, I just didn't think of a normal button. Yes chuck, many a time I've turned the sound off by mistake by clutching the phone!
