Lost Forever? E mails have gone

All of MY emails have dissapeared ,the other files are ok,i have tried restore ,any ideas please.

Not really because you've given absolutely no details that are likely to help anyone answer.

emails have disappeared from what? what method or software do you use for your email? also what other files are OK?

(and a system restore does just as it says, it restores your system, not your files)

e-mails are files (or parts of a file) and so can go in the right circumstances.
Exactly where were you expecting to find them ? In your PC e-mail client ? On the service provider's server ? On your mobile handset ?

Since you have tried restore I guess they must have initially been seen in your PC's e-mail client, whatever that is. Have you tried looking in the other "folders" in the client ? Whcih client do you use ?
