Can this happen?

Hi, I recently "found" my husband advertising himself on a dating site where he is working away, obviously he's denied knowing anything about it, all the details/pics were of him. anyway he says he has been a victim of internet fraud and the source came from Nigeria! When confronted, I opened his laptop, typed in the dating website address and lo and behold his email address was already typed in to the page before logging in, also the same thing on his phone internet, he says that the "person" from Nigeria must have done this through this fraud thing, but surely the husband MUST have physically typed his email address in his lap top and phone to this dating site, or am I wrong? Thanks in advance.x.

RATTER I would love to know what you think. Im not naive to think scamming does not go on, but not when its already in the phone and laptop. Its come out since that he did the same to first wife, I only found out since confronting him, so history has repeated itself. I know this sounds like it should be in relationships, but it was more about the email addy on phone and laptop. Thanks guys, youre opinions are invaluable.x.
I agree with ummmm here! He needs to stand up and be honest about all this. There is no way this is some "Nigerian scam"! So sorry you are having to go through this, cazzrob! A relationship without trust is at best always going to be a very difficult one. Hopefully he will admit the truth and you two can work on rebuilding yours. He has obviously been a right fool and jeopardised your marriage for a bit of fun. Very, very stupid indeed! Hugs to you!
I knew the answer anyway RATTER, just wanted to see if he's continue making me look stupid, How I found out? I was paying for something on his PAYPAL account, and one of the payments were pending, so I just clicked on investigate payment, and the past 3 months payments came up, and 3 of them was something Id never heard of, so I typed it into the search engine and discovered it was a chat/dating site! Always get caught in the end!
