I ave a powerful pc windows 7 and a laptop (both run autocad and MSoffice). I dont play games and rarely listen to music. I skype family and have a blackberry touch mobile. I am a keen photographer with some vodeo and run Photoshop cs4.
DO I NEED AN IPAD? WHAT BENEFIT WOULD I HAVE APART FROM SIZE?
I am a gadget fan but cant get this piece of kit....help please.
Apple buy the components for the iPad2 for about 20 cents, from slave labour factories in China, and sell them to gullible Westerners for hundreds of dollars.
The workers are starving and dying, and getting paid way below the minimum subsistence level.
Buy an iPad2 if you want to perpetuate exploitation and slave labour.
You can also pay £500 for a product that costs about $20 to build.

I must say if I followed youre advice I might as well be back in dark days. This is the way of the world today and the best way of overcoming it is to elect Blatter or Lord Coe to eliminate corruption!!!
An Ipad is essentially a note book with a touch screen and no lid. If you need a note book then an Ipad might appeal It however has no USB ports and I don't think it supports flash.
The launch of icloud, I think, shows that Apple just want you to pay for stuff you don't need.
Aren't these pieces of technology simply a means to an end? If you can already do what you want to do where you want to do it, then you don't require one. You would be just buying "stuff" for the sake of it.
Dell is closing its last few US manufacturing sites and moving them to India and Mexico. Most of its laptops are already made in China.
Dell is no better than the others.
JJ looked at you list no BF thats not the JJ I have come to know and love.
HC thats really interesting, I had a conversation about Dell and they said you shouldn't buy them anymore as they used to be ultra reliable but now they were breaking down due to the use of cheaper components, normaly just as the warrentys expired
N you don't imo. we had an offer at work for ipad2 for £279, some deal they did with apple, on 1000 employees could qualify and it was email lottery. the ones who got it have been told today there are supply issues....
