stopping facebook friend from seeing your other friends

I have a friend (relative that I've never met from abroad) on facebook. I dont mind having her on so dont want to delete or block her as she would take offence by it and she is afterall family..
But shes started adding some of my friends and its quite embarrassing. She's added my cousin who is no relation to her and acting like he's family.. she also trys talking to my friends
Just wondering if there's a way that I can hide my friends from just her so she can't add them.

Surely if they didn't want to be friends with her they could have ignored her request. Don't think there's a lot you can do really.

Some people will accept anyone - I hardly accept anyone, particularly friends of friends who I don't know.

Have a good look through your Privacy settings.........you CAN set it so that only YOU can see your Friends list.

I know because I have just done it :o)

think it's up to the person being requested as a friend to accept or decline - it's their choice not the one asking. I only have 9 friends on facebook - 6 are family. can't be doing with this competition to see who has most 'friends'.

yeah not much I can do when they've accepted her, I just want to prevent her from adding anymore as it is pretty embarrassing.
thanks for all your answers! I'll have a mooch through settings now Jack. Was hoping there was a way so that only she wasnt able to see my friends list as I dont mind other friends being able to have a mooch through and add people that they know aswell.

I think you'll have to hide your friends list from everyone.

It's pathetic isnt it? I only have 45 friends and vitually all of them are actual friends and not just people who I know of. Apart from one of course who I posted about yesterday lol. I only accept people I know (preferably quite well).

I only have people I know on my facebook.
I sometimes get requests of people who have a lots of mutual friends with me. I accept if theyre friends with the people I hang around with or go out with as I usually meet them or notice that I am already aqainted with them when I'm next with my friend.
Think some of my friends accepted for the same reason as you can't tell she lives abroad until you accept and her info is not private.
I also worked out how to block my friends list from just her so alls good!! x

Click account settings (top right) and select privacy settings, then click on view settings next to Connecting on Facebook at the top and, select custommize settings from the drop down list for "See your friend list" and you can stop selected people from seeing your friends list.

Glad you've worked it out nennyc and I've certainly learnt something new today.
I can't understand why anyone would want to be friends with a friend's friend. Stupid if you ask me.

Maybe you can set up a new account then just add the names you want from your old account to the new one. Then, if you wish, you can still use the old account from time to time so your realtive doesnt know you ignoring her
