Mrs JD is keen on a Kindle, does it come with any titles already installed or do you have to download from the beginning?

I have a kindle and it is a fantastic bit of technology. You do not get any titles with it, but there are loads of free books, easily downloadable at the Amazon store. There is also a forum on the kindle page at Amazon which you should find helpful.
mine came with a dictionary on it
Thanks, bedknobs. Mine had a dictionary too, but an American one. I had to download the English version. It also had a welcome letter from Amazon, but I presumed that the question meant "were there any books on it?" which there aren't.
