its the SHUFFLE mode
there is one album i like playing that has 150 songs. on shuffle mode it doesn't shuffle very well

Thanks for telling us :)

I've not used poweramp... but the android version of winamp is the best player IMO so why not try that, you can always remove it if you don't like it.
