I used to spend more time on Facebook but now found that I spend more time on AnswerBank as there is a lot more interesting things said and I learn a lot more. I rather learn things than find out when someone is going to the toilet! Facebook seems to be 90% of useless info people are doing you wouldn't bother to ask or want to know If you spoke in person. Anyone else on here find the same that this site is more interesting now and more people seem to be using it?

I would've replied sooner but I just finished washing the dog. You're right of course. AB is better in every way.
Yeah but with FB I keep track of what my real friends are up to, so that's a big plus. I do both BTW.
I use facebook much like postdog, to find out where my kids have been or are planning to go. They're all in the mid to late 20s but as a parent I still need to know what they are up to,
I've just washed the dog again. It took twenty minutes, but now he's nigh on perfect. I might wash him again tomorrow. Yesterday it only took fifteen minutes. My neighbour only takes ten minutes. But their's is a chihuauhua. Should I be posting this on Facebook? Does it really matter? Discuss.
same here ravid
friends said to go on it .
what a load of banal crap from my "friends" all these people adding me as their friends <not a clue who i am or they are lol, deactivated account after one week
Gosh! gollysailor! What an interesting life! Absolutely fascinating! Almost good enough for Facebook, I reckon!
But, seriously, I get your point, and so, I'm sure, does RAV1D. AB doesn't go in for empty gossip, and if you want a straight answer to a question, AB is the place to be.
By the way, deggers316, are you aware that deactivating a Facebook account does not actually get rid of it? It's still lurking.
yeh i know that mate but at least it tells your friends your not on it so no point in asking me silly questions
havent you been in cb ravid? theres usually tons of useless info in there... brb im just going to the loo ;)
AB is is our best kept secret. Let the braindead play out on facebook and we'll come here for a proper talk.
oh flip and i just put a link to here on my status for my 5000 friends to come join :)
I was thinking about this the other day: lots of sites have "invite your friends from facebook to us" features... while it would be nice I don't think Users here would actually like this. I was thinking it'd be handy if we had a "tell a stranger" button or something.

If you could just randomly stop people in the street and tell them about AB that'd be great!
i've just looked up fordbridge on goodle maps
The only people I am likely to see in the street are people I know. I live in a small community. I don't want them seeing what I post on AB!!

I quite like the fact that my friends don't post on here. Well a couple do, but I met them on here in the first place and now they have become real live friends.

I like leading two separate lives!!
I am on Facebook but never actually go on there and I can't see what my offspring is doing because I can't get in to his info!! He is wise, he knows me only too well!!

I must admit I would really miss AB if it were to disappear.
not sure that would work ed, ive told a few people i know about here, mainly when they have needed an answer to something, they either want me to ask for them and relay the answers or have a look and think its crap... seriously none of the ones who have looked liked the place
ankou: likes this
