Hi

Every time my hubby turns his laptop on after he has logged onto the laptop thingy there are vertical columns in shadow form going from the bottom of the screen to the top. It has been happening over the past 3 days.

Can anybody suggest to me what the problem could be and how to correct it please? It is about 2 years old.

Thanks

Wait until the techos come on here but, providing the laptop has not been mistreated or dropped, if it is the screen or graphics card as it is that I fear, take it back to where you purchased it from. It should be fixed or replaced free of charge, warranty or not. Two years is too short a life for a Macbook and you are entitled to have a reasonable period of enjoyment from it, by law.

Update on the MacBook Pro Problem - took it into Apple Store and they said the problem is the backlight and then went onto say that because my hubby hadn't taken out extended warranty he wasn't entitled to get it fixed free of charge. To cap it all they then said it would cost approx £400 to fix - are they taking the p**s? The machine is 2.5 years old by the way!!

A suggestion for a way forward would be most welcome. Thanks.
