If I receive an email on Outlook that contains a link, if I click on the link I always get a box up 'application not found. How do I sort this so I get the link? Thanks in advance.

Set whatever browser you use as the default browser (have you removed a browser recently by any chance?)

You are sure the link is not malicious?

What if you click on other links in e-mails that you know to be safe?

It happens with all links. It is a recent problem that has only been happening for the last couple of months.
Set whatever browser you use as the default browser (have you removed a browser recently by any chance?)
And meanwhile, worst comes to worst, you can probably copy & paste the link into your browser address.

Without wishing to appear terminally thick, how do I do that?
Depends on which browser you want to set as default..

In firefox its tools > options click on the advanced tab and click the check now button under system defaults and agree when your asked do you want to set firefox as the default.

In ie its tools > internet options, click on the programs tab and click the make default button...
