I'm considering getting a new phone with a monthly tariff, and I was wondering what the options are for paying the tariffs. Is it possible to get a top-up card, or do I need to pay via direct debit or something similar? I've only ever had a PAYG mobile before now, so forgive me if it seems a bit of a dumb question.

I've only ever had pay monthly, we pay by monthly direct debit. I don't think you can do it any other way.

Thanks for your help.
Get a giffgaff sim card. For£10.00 a month you get 250 minutes talk(landlines and mobiles inc) unlimted text and unlimited internet. It is still a PAYG but works out so much cheaper than a normal PAYG. If you want more minutes then you can pay £15.00, £20.00 or £25.00 per month. I find the £10 one works good for me. Its on the O2 network.
