Windows Picture Gallery. I want to make a file of photos to show a friend I haven't seen for years.

How do I make a new file of old photos? Is it a case of click and drag or copy and paste?

Just put all your photos in to one folder, then set it to "open with" windows photo gallery.
Copy and paste (or click and drag with the right button and then select copy)

If you just click and drag you'll move the photo to the new place and remove it from the old place, copy and paste (or right dragging) will keep the original in the same location so you don't lose it.

Aah, I've been left clicking. But..... when you click to open a new folder, it just appears in the lefthand box as a thin line, if you see what I mean. How do you know you've highlighted the new folder and yyour chosen pic goes into the right place?
