iPhone 5 release

Does anyone know when the iPhone 5 looks to be released? Also, bearing in mind when the iPhone 4 was released, does anyone have any idea at the types of prices networks will be charging for this on a contract? I pay about £35 per month on a 24 (but will probably go for 18) month contract, and get 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 1gb of data, so if anyone can remember how much an iPhone 4 was when first came out on this type of contract (as I imagine it'll take the same rule), that would be brilliant!

according to the gossips it may be released in october, however apparently there are not many changes to it and it may not even be called an iphone 5, I have heard iphone 4gs bandied about as well

Nothing official has been announced about the iPhone5 let alone the date. Rumours suggest October 10 but Apple generally release on a Tuesday so perhaps 11/10 in the USA

So based upon the iPhone 4's release, do you know when it would be likely to be released in the UK? I am keen to know as I have a very battered, slow and old iPhone 3 and my contract is due for upgrade in October so when I heard that this could be when the iPhone 5 came out I thought this could be good as if I got an iPhone, it would be out of date within about two months!

Everyone under the age of 15 seems to be saying "I'm getting the iPhone 5" ...

But none of them seems to know how it is different from what they have.

The ultimate marketing success ... Apple can sell products when people don't even know what they actually are !!!

a few cosmetic and memory upgrades and an improved camera is what I have read, it is like the 4gs version of an iphone 4

Might go for an iPhone 4 then on maybe a shorter contract, my iPhone 3 is getting seriously annoying!

Oh, and one of the features of the iPhone 5 is that it charges wirelessly...

I think the wireless charging will be available on all iphones except for the 3g as its a firmware update due this autumn

I agree with cazzz, I know no-one who rates the 3 above the 4.
Apple does not release information about new products until release date, so what the iPhone4+, 4s or 5 might be, is only in the press and guesswork or hope.
