i have heard that they stop updates, and assistance etc on some phones from over 2 years ago, so what are you supposed to to if you have 2009 phone, which works fine, and cant afford to upgrade?

also, is it worth buying a second hand 2009 iphone? or will you end up regretting it? will it become hard to use?

thanks

I have an old phone that is still supported, I dont believe that rumour
You keep using it. It doesn't stop working because you can't put the latest operating system on it
I updated mine today no problem.

I think whoever you heard that from was talking out of their bum.

im thinking of buying one you see...and wondered if id end up running into problems as they bring out new models.

i am talking about smartphones in general...i know some support longer than others

i read it on their own website...

no i realise that milvus, but without support, over time will it become too buggy and a pain to use?
You read on the Apple website that you wouldn't be able to update an older model? They might want to try telling my iTunes that then.
if I had to choose, of course I would buy the most up to date phone I could afford
No, phone software doesn't deteriorate. It will continue giving you the same service. You will just not be able to take advantage of new technical developments. You will be fine.

no i mean on a smartphone website...cant remember the brand now...

cazz...well obviously...
A lot of people are happy to have an older iphone. They still do everything the same as they did 2years ago and they must of been good because they wouldn't of made more versions of the phone if not. There is probably not much extra new things added to the newer versions anyway. I bet they do at least 90% of what a new one does. Ok so you may not to be able to use some of the apps from the app store as they only run on the newer one's but many apps still work on the older ones.
Ive got the original 2g, works as it should but the 3g onwards are better iphones
