i have deleted internet history but when i go to enter my email address, i am still prompted with my email address, which i do not want. how do i stop this. thank you for any education you can provide,

Well telling us what browser you use may help.

I THINK this option is called Auto Complete and on Internet Explorer you can go to Internet Options and the select the Content tab then see the Settings for Auto Complete.

Try deselecting some of the ticks on that page.

Of course I may be wrong and it is not Auto Complete at all

On mine, when I select Internet options and delete browsing history, if I hit the Settings, then View Files, there is Temporary Internet Files there. When I Select All, then Delete, this clears email addresses etc. I think it is because when you clear history it keeps some for your 'Favourites'.

Tools/Options/Content/Autocomplete .. Uncheck 'Forms and User names ...'
Firefox:
Tools/Options/Privacy .. Uncheck 'Remember Forms ... '

Yeah this happens a lot! If the emails come up run you mouse of it but do not click! Then just hit the del button on the keyboard and it will be deleted feel free to do this with any email address on any browser!
