Can you tell me if I do download vids and music to realplayer, can I watch them without being connected to the internet?

Personally I don't think much of Real Player.

You would be better off downloading the Klite codec pack and using Media Player Classic.

To answer your question: so long as you have downloaded the files to your Hard Drive then you can play them without being connected to the Internet.
