Why don't you try searching for the programme and see what they say.
As I've stated on your other thread, any files which you created with Microsoft Works can be opened, edited and saved (in Microsoft Works formats) with OpenOffice.

Any new files you create with OpenOffice can be saved using Microsoft formats (so that people you send them to will be able to view and edit them, even if they're still using Microsoft products).
