Which DVD format to use ?
7 Answers
I have a Hewlit Packard and I use DVR+RW disks to record on but my daughter can not play them and has asked me to record on her disks DVD-R .
Is it down to the fact that her PC may be a different make.
In general terms which is the most versatile format to use to suit most computers?

It doesn't work like that.
Use -R
She will need MPEG-2 spiltter and decoder ... and AC3 filter installing on PC .. unless she has a DVD program installed (like WinDVD or similar)
Alternatively she can use VLC player or Classic Media Player to play DVD.
