They are not too hard to replace, but the is a proper way to deal with the connector for the cable, be careful with it



there are loads of other videos on youtube on replacing keyboard, all laptops are slightly different but you should get a good idea.

Or take it to a local (independent) computer shop, you know the keyboard is only £20 and I wouldn't charge more than £15-£20 to replace one for somebody.

Have you tried plugging a USB keyboard in? I use a USB mouse, and once had a separate number pad, both of which installed without problems.
