This morning, after Firefox updated itself, I went to watch a video on Youtube, but there was no sound. I then tried to play a few MP3s, but I got an error message, saying that there may be a problem with the sound card. I clicked on Web Help and the page told me that I might need an updated driver. The original error code was 80040209 and the original error message was "The operation cannot be performed because the pins are not connected."

I'm not very knowlageble as to how computers work, so can anyone tell me how to fix this problem, or where I can download an updated driver?

You have of course tried simply restarting the computer?

If that doesn't work you can download the latest driver from the computer manufacturers website.
