I've got IE9, your favourites are on the star, top right of the page just under the red X for closedown.
For IE, press ALT, then select view > toolbars > favourites bar.

Media player... Don't know, Don't use it.
In IE 9, try right-clicking on a blank space on the menu bar (near to the top of the page). There should be an option to show the Favorites Bar (horrid US spelling).

Better still use a decent browser (such as Firefox or Chrome)!

Thanks boxtops, but on xp you could drag your favourite link onto a bar in ie8 for fast access so i'm just curious if there is anything similar in ie9

Thanks for all the advice I do use firefox and opera but my other half can't get on with them so when we just acquired W7 and ie9 was on it I tried to make it as familiar as poss. But getting Media player to open up straight onto player is baffling
View ... GoTo ... Now Playing ... It should open every time with that then.
Horrible thing ... First time I opened it for a year at least.
