Cannot read from source or disk

I decided to re-install my PC so burned all my music & videos to DVD. After i re-installed the PC i tried to copy all the music & videos back but after each disk is about 50% done i get the message 'cannot read from source or disk'.
Does anyone know how i can resolve this?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Windows is rubbish when it finds a corrupted file on a cd/dvd and tries to copy it. It usually holds the white flag and gives up. You need a specialist data recovery solution.
