how to stop installing windows 98 on my PC , i click on exit but all i get is a black screen and it says bad command ,please help

Try taking the 98 disk out of the CD drive.

Okay well if the installation isn't working I suggest you do a low level format and start again, because that sounds as though it has been interrupted or the 98 disk is dirty or damaged.

i whas trying to put it on my second hard drive but would only let me put it on C driver and thats has XP and if i put 98 on there i will lose XP

Well if you go into the BIOS of your computer it might let you boot up from the second drive, in which case you can install 98, but make sure it IS the 2nd drive before you begin.
