I have Media Player 12 in W7 on my PC and have a small problem. If I download an album it does not appear in WMP, although it states in the "how to" pages that if you play an album it will automatically add it to the Media Player Library. Also, if I right click on the album title in the My Music folder, there is the option to "Add to Windows Media Player List" - this doesn't work either. It's not an important problem, just annoying ! If anybody can offer any advice I would be very grateful

Tools/Options/Media Library ..
Monitor Folders .. or add the album.

Music .. You are best with Winamp
Video .. you are best with VLC Player or Classic Media Player.
wm player bloatware...as mentioned..get vlc...no codecs needed.
As others have said, scrap WMP. VLC and GOM are far, far better at handling video:
