the sims 2 !!!

hello i am 12 and dont really understand computers but resently i bought the sims 2 game and the expansion pack ( sims 2 university) ,i have installled it correctly buy when i press it to play it comes up with a box that says " you do not have directx 9.0c installed into your computer " so i have to have it to play the game so how can i get it on my computer !

please help otherwise it is � �45.00 down the drain!

You can download and install DirectX from Microsoft for free.

It's on the disc! Put in Disc 1 and look at it with Windows Explorer. There's a folder called DirectX. Go into this folder and double-click dxsetup

the game when installing should detect you have not got directx and then ask you during install 'do you wish to install directx 9.0c'.you must have said no !

your 2 options are uninstall and re-install saying 'yes' to directx 9.0c or the quickest way which would be to follow obionio's link
