For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.DO NOT delete the Application Data folder in your user profile, or any other one either, that'd be bad. By all means, go to the Cookies folder and delete all your cookies. If there's a index.dat file in there, you probably won't be able to delete that one.
The most probable cause is spyware. Download, install and run AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy and Microsoft Antispyware. Some of these programs find things the others don't, so more is better in this case. Make sure your antivirus is up to date. If you don't have any or your subscription is up for renewal and you don't feel like laying out cash, consider AVG Free which costs nothing and is free to update with the latest virus definitions.
