Can any A/Ber recommend a free programme for ripping an audio track from a DVD copy of a T/V show.

Then play the DVD on your computer press the record audio button, and it should record the audio track onto your computer.
You can then transfer it onto disc.

Have you got the track in question? Just open the location (probably in My Documents or Music), open the iTunes browser and drag and drop the file into your chosen playlist.
Depending on the file format(if it is WMA) of the track iTunes may ask if you wish to convert the file into AAC. Just click 'Yes'.
