Does this affect people with digital TVs? What is it then ?

The digital switchover refers to the date when the old analogue transmitters will be switched off in your area. People who've not got a Freeview set-top box, or a TV with Freeview built in, will no longer be able to watch TV.

But those who've already 'gone digital' won't notice any changes (except that those people who've experienced occasional picture break-up with digital reception will probably find that the problem has been fixed, because the digital transmitters will have been turned up to full power).

Those who have already gone digital will need to retune their TV's and recording devices on the various dates stated at switchover. We went over in November and had to retune 3 or 4 times, but all settled down now.

If you have Sky or Virgin you are already digital and can watch TV after the switchover.

Thanks but its all gobbledegook to me, and there must be many people who are less technical than I am ...... so is it going to be easy or what ?? I have Freeview on my TV and my DVD player. Heeeelp !!

Sorry I meant to say as well .. its all very well to say 'You have to Re Tune' but how do we do this ???
