Can I safely remove IE from Vista?
6 Answers
I tried this a few years ago on Windoze 98 and managed to rip out half of the OS and had to re-format and re-install even though I used the "Add/Remove Programs" application.
I don't use it. I don't want it and it's taking up valuable space.
Or am I stuck with it?

Even you may not use it the space it occupys is very little and with Microsoft upgrading the latest version to suit your version of Windows by automatic updates they expect you to have it installed.
There are far larger thing you can easily remove. IE is tiny in computer terms.
Run Disk Clean Up (supplied with Windows)
Turn off System Restore to delete all your old restore points, then turn System Restore back on again.
Turn off Hibernation.
Run a program called Compcln that deletes loads of files that are no longer required after Service Pack 2 has been installed
