Changing picture formats

How can i change some of my pictures to jpg from other formats?

Open the picture in a graphics programme (even Paint will do). Click Save As... on the File menu. When you've given your file a name, directly underneath should be a box where you can change the "file type". Somewhere on that list, it will give you the option of saving the file as a .JPG or a .JPEG. Select it and click Save.

The above is completely correct. A free download may go one better.
"Irfanview" will do this for lots of files at once to save you doing it all manually one at a time.
File > Batch Conversion/Rename

then find the files to convert, set the options (output file type, filename etc.) and haway!

I previously had a digital camera that would save all the images in a wonky file format so this was perfect for converting them to jpegs onto my PC.

Oops, now I feel stupid. I had Paint Shop Pro all along and didn't realise it did this.
I needn't have gone to the trouble of downloading Irfanview after all.

NP. Do you have the latest version?

A new day has dawned, I have, against all previous sworn intentions, actually purchased shareware software from the creator instead of constantly trying to warp it into a free copy. I can't believe how nice it is. The 'spotlight' and other lighting features are brill and fit my ebay needs purfect.

I've never spent 2p on software in my life (let that be a lesson to y'all!!) - get it free or go without. I've had psp5 and psp8 and strangely I prefer ye olde version of ite.

Must admit, it was very hard. Is PSP 5 just a nag screen or does it close down unless you pay?

I have a full version of psp5.
If you have no morals then you can get any software at all for free online. I obviously have morals but I'm just aware that this is possible.
