PC RAM Check and Driver Updater
3 Answers
Am lucky (?) enough to be at home for half term with the kiddy winks and decided to start clearing my PC of old unwanted files and software. Also want to update my drivers. Is there a good one, preferably free, that I can use that will do all the updates for me automatically? Also want to check both sticks of RAM are fully working as having a few problems, so same question on what is the best.....and easiest.....software to use? All help appreciated and will give me something to do when I am not taking my little monkies out. Cheers.

No - there are a number that claim to, but they are all pretty good at accidentally downgrading an existing driver, misidentifying hardware, etc.
PC Wizard is pretty god for analysing your hardware.

For testing the RAM try Memtest86+ - http://www.memtest.org/ is the site for it. You'll have to burn the ISO to CD and let it run through the test cycle at least 7 times, so it'd best run overnight as a single cycle can take a while to run.
