Im trying to create a template piece of headed paper but I can't work out how to get the header and footer as I want them.

I need to insert a jpg of the company logo in the top left corner, the company address and numbers on the top right and then some company info bottom centre but I'm struggling to be able to to do the things I want at the top of the page. It won't let me move the text where I want it and when I insert the image it deletes the text.

Can anyone help?

I'm not running the same version as you so you'll have to root about to get the precise process - but the solution lies in inserting you logo's etc as images, rather than as elements of the header / footer. You can then scale, move etc the image, save the document as a template, and voila.
You'll be able to add the text stuff as a header / footer in the normal way as well as inserting the image as a logo
In Word 2003 I can usually get something acceptable by first inserting a table in the header or footer space.
Does it help if you create a text box in the header?
Anyway it seems to work for me without a text box- can you just use the centre/left/right justification
I'd drop it in as an image too rather than use headers or footers for it.

Thanks for the help.

I couldn't just add the image seperately as it placed it under the rest of the header and wouldn't let me move it up but I managed to do it by chosing to wrap around text and then just shifted it.

Thanks!
I always do it like Factor30 suggested and make text boxes with the lines removed ,I find it much easier that way and you can have as many on a page as needed with words or images
