This is driving me effing beserk!

My ipad 2 keeps dropping the wifi connection at my house. It drops out randomly for no apparant reason most of the time although it does seem to also happen when the phone rings which would suggest its a problem with my internet BUT there is another laptop in use which never loses the connection, which is why im so confused. It doesnt seem to happen on other wifi connections (spent the weekend at my bro's who has very slow wifi because of where he lives and it didnt drop once).

To get it it reconnect i have to do a mixture of turning off the wifi on the ipad, resetting the wireless router, renewing the leace on that connection or turning the whole thing off and on again. None of these are guaranteed to make it actually connect, just things i keep trying.

Has anyone got any idea whats going on and how it can be fixed. It happens several times an evening and Its soooooo frustrating!

Mine does drop it's connection sometimes but it usually reconnects on it's own pretty quickly, I've always presumed it's because the kids have laptops and Xbox's on, youngest is usually on iplayer, the other on Youtube, thank god my broadband is unlimited! Have you tried piggybacking off someone elses signal so you can find out if it's your connection dropping or if the iPad is at fault.

All the other connections it picks up round here are password protected but as i said when i was using it at my brothers it didnt drop once so i really dont know if its a problem with the ipad or not. I dont seem to recall it happening for the first month or so.
Have you tried restarting the router/adsl mmodem?
I have a similar problem(iPad1) but not to the same extent you have. Usually resolved by turning the Pad through 90 or 180 degrees. I am guessing, in my case, it is where my hand is holding the Pad is masking the 'aerial'

Tried rebooting the router, sometimes it works, sometimes not but i cant keep doing that several times an evening.

I dont think its where it holding it, i usually just have it resting on my lap so rarely covering the sides at all. Where is the aerial in it?
Re: aerial, I have no idea, just a guess
When setting up my router I was advised to keep it away from cordless telephone bases?
