I have been told that this can lead to screen-burn.
I've noticed that one of the stations turns into a screen-saver but others don't.

Will it lead to screen burn and, if so, is there a way of avoiding it?

This is the model I have:

Was this question so banal, or did it just get lost in the mire?
No not banal, perhaps no-one knows the answer.

I often listen to the radio on my Samsung plasma, I have not heard it might be harmful. But if the function is there built in to the set for regular use, without warning to be cautious or anything, then it should not be harmful?
Yes it will result in screen burn, plasmas are prone to screen burn.

I turn the brightness right down on mine if I want to listen to radio.

There is an "eco" button on the remote, which allows me to turn off the screen but leave the sound on.
