Freeview signal quality last night
5 Answers
Anyone else notice BBC1 & 2 dreadful quality last night? Usually my signal quality is 98% but last night kept plunging below 20% with subsequent breakup of audio & video. Yet signal strength remained normal. Fortunately there were sufficient televisual treats on BBC2 so I could watch on analogue instead but won't have that luxury come October.

I suspect the transmitter - can't figure out why my set up will be ok for weeks and then have a day or two with problems. And yes they're turning off analogue around my area in a month or so (I don't bother to memorise the exact date - it's not like I can do anything about it). I'm unconvinced about how it'll be oh so much better when they do. We already hear of potential 4G mobile phone interference.
Thanks Old Geezer. I only have these episodes of poor quality Freeview maybe once every two months, whereas when I had Sky the whole lot would stop working whenever there was a thunderstorm which was a pain in the Summer.
Pity that digital means all or nothing, not just a bit fuzzier when the weather isn't right.
