Charging a camera

I can't find my charger for my little digital camera.. however, I have found the connector for the computer. If I plug it in, will this charge the camera..? Girls night out later and I need my camera for obligatory drunken shots of the girls...

I dont think it will charge the camera. It is just for transferring the pics to the PC. I lost my camera charger once.. it is soooo annoying when you cannot charge the camera! I actually have a box at home for all the chargers for things I own. There are about 12 in there!!! They need their own suitcase when we go on holiday!!

plug it in then switch it on.if the battery sign starts going up and down its charging.fingers crossed for you

The user manual will tell you. Or search online for the make/model to check if you don't have it.

Pft.. no I don't think it is charging via the laptop. I've turned the house upside down and can't find the bloody thing. Never mind. Thank you all for your advice. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that it lasts the evening. ;-)
