Hi, I'm looking at buying a Canon T2i 550D to shoot videos with. I'm having trouble trying to buy a SD card for it, as I don't know what kind of memory the 1080hd videos would take up.

Can anyone give me an estimate of how big the file would be for a 1080 hd 10min clip shot on an SLR camera. Thanks!

It has a limit of 4GB file size for 1080p video, which is 12 minutes, so 10Min is going to be a little under 4GB :)

You'll also need a class6 or higher SD card for 1080P video.
Strictly speaking I guess (working on 10 being 83.33% of 12) a 10Min clip would be 3.33GB.

Thank you very much! That helps me out alot.
However, is that 12min limit for each individual video? Or is it for all videos taken collectively? It's probably the first answer, but I just want to be careful :P
