OK, here's a thought. I'm guessing that you are accessing your Hotmail inbox via www.hotmail.com or Windows Live, right?

If so, can you try accessing it through Windows Live Mail, please. http://www.windowslive.co.uk/essentials/mail

Or, depending on your version of Windows, another email client e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird etc.

These are all desktop applications and, as such, should not be subject to any JavaScript injection. Clearly, it won't solve the actual problem with web mail, but it might at least allow you to continue to manage your mailbox...
Your link opens my Inbox, but I'm getting exactly the same as before...
I don't understand that. The link should have taken you to a page from where you can download and install Windows Live Mail. Something very strange indeed is going on...

MarkRae, I tried that link but my Buxlguard anitvirus has blocked it and will not let me in./

Bullguard I meant.!
Try adding it to the list of trusted sites, or however Bullguard works. I've never used it myself...
Run a full virus check on your PC .... for starters ..

How do you deal with junk mail? Do you ever read them or open any attachments within them?

At least 50% of all junk I receive is Internet scams , and I report it as phishing ... and I NEVER open ANYTHING from unknown sources ... In that direction lies trouble , even if your anti virus software is up to date !
Ok, I closed the open Inbox tab, now your link is letting me download 'Windows Live Essentials 2011'...
Excellent! When it's installed, it's a very simple matter to add your Hotmail account to it.
Ok Mark, thank you - that seems to work, but what a truly dreadful screen to try & work through!

My non-functioning access showed 20-odd messages in the Inbox, about normal - this shows 419 Unread, going back to last year, along with 2434 Unread Feeds - whatever they might be!

I'm going to pour a Guinness & see if that helps...
This just needs to be "cleaned up" once, after which they'll never appear again. You should be able to get rid of all the feeds by clicking Empty Folder when you're in there, IIRC...

At least you can now continue to manage your mailbox, though :-)
I'd now suggest that you get rid of SpyBot (though that might prove quite difficult!) and use malwarebytes instead. Once a week should be sufficient...
Again, thanks Mark - I'll worry about Spybot/Malware later...

Believe me, I'm not being deliberately obtuse, but I can't see an "Empty Folder" button. I'll mark them with 'Ctrl' down & use "Delete" a screen at a time...

...the Guinness is helping somewhat :-)
OK, I may have been thinking about another folder. I don't have a Feeds folder, so I obviously got rid of it one way or another, but can't recall now...

Hi again Mark I managed to open your site and download it. But I still cannot open each email or delete anything. x
Yes, it now won't beleive I am me. Fed up of it.
If ever there was a thread which illustrated why everybody should register their own domain and forget about these "second-class" email addresses, this is it.

It costs about a fiver every two years to have your own domain name.
Can you give details please Mark ?

Put in your name and choose something like .me.uk, .co.uk etc
