Anyone know of any programmes in which you can merge two (or more) .mp3/.wma files? F'rinstance, I might want to mix an instrumental version of a song with an a capella version of a different song. And slow down/speed up the tempo etc. Any available that anyone knows of?

Hi

The one I use is called Mixmeister, you can download this free if you do a search in Google for it, although there are others that use record decks as an interface, mixmeister allows you to create your mix bit by bit, not in realtime, so you can get your mixes spot on perfect!

The one i use is called virtual dj.

It has 2 decks which you can load mp3 or wma files onto, and then mix between the two songs or overlay one on the other.

You can also speed up the song (using time stretching) and even scratch! Im useless at it but with a bit of practice it seems like it would be quite a professional package.

Antother great freeware program for music editing: Audacity.
