Ipod and Ifone - app issue.

My hubby had, or has, an ipod. Then he bought an ifone. when he connected it to his itunes account it synched all the apps from the ipod to the ifone, which was fine. He now wants to give me the ifone, but his concern is that when I go to download any app and connect to itunes, it will just re synch and drag everything from his new ifone back to the ipod. Sorry if that doesnt make much sense, but thats how I am interpreting what he is saying.

He should connect it to iTunes and select the 'reset to factory' option and when that has finished take the option to set it up as a new device. You need to set yourself up your own Apple id for the iTunes store so that your apps will remain separate from his and all should be well.

oh, he is under the impression that as soon as he plugs the ipod into the laptop/itunes account it will straight away re synch everything from ifone before he has a chance to do anything

If it's set up to synch automatically it will but once it's finished just do the restore to factory and it will clear everything on the ipod and you can set it up as a new device.
