film download

I have downloaded a film onto my laptop (Windows 7 pro) and it is a .RAR file size 3,244kb. problem is I cannot open with anything. Tried windows media player, says cannot open file. Help please.

ar is a compressed file. You need winrar or similar to unpack it.

7zip is a better bet than winrar to extract the files, 7zip is free, winrar isn't
