Can i cut a part of the song with some software and put it to my phone to set as a ringtone if it supports mp3 ringtones function?

You'll need to download the main program and the lame MP3 encoder, then you can open whatever song you want, cut the bit you want out and export it as MP3, copy the MP3 file onto your phone and set it as a ringtone.

There is a program made specially to create mobile phone ringtones, Ringtone Maker.
It's simple in use and free of charge. It basically cuts the preferred part of a song you personally choose and you are able to put it to your phone.
By the way you can use any audio editor to do that, but I guess it would be easier with the above mentioned tool.
