mobile phone jammer

Does anyone know of a kit or a set of instructions for building a mobile phone jammer?  I would not use such a thing in this country, of course, because it would be illegal.   But it might be useful in a country where they are allowed.

not sure about making your own but i do know u can buy a phone jammer, saw it on one of those gadget sites somewhere, have a look around using google

Thanks, Twiglet, but the commercial ones cost nearly �200.  Electronic components are so cheap that I'm sure I could build my own for a fraction of that.

Since they'd effectively be a transmitting device operating in the 900 and/or 1800MHz range, they'd be illegal since you require a license to operate transmitting equipment on all but a very few frequencies (your phone is licensed via your network operator).
Not that it wouldn't be a good idea though! I'll look into it but it might take a while.

Sometimes I really like cell phones, and change it often.Last year i got a LG Chocolate one, but at my angry moment i throw it away, so it died! And this year i bought this kind of cell phone with cheap price, but i am afraid of his fate then. I hate the noises of irrelevant calls,you know sometimes i just want to be alone, that is enough, anyone knows how can i do?
